Marin Lovrić

Master of Science in Marine Fisheries

He was born on May 4, 1991 in Šibenik, Croatia. He received his primary education in Rogoznica, and his high school education in Šibenik. At the University Study Center for Marine Studies in Split in the academic year 2010/2011. he enrolled in the Marine Fisheries course and completed it in 2016. He defended his dissertation entitled Developing an LC-MS / MS Method for Measuring Homeoic Acid in Shellfish Tissue on July 4th. 2016 (mentor: Ivana Ujević, PhD) and thus acquired the academic title of Master of Marine Fisheries Engineering.

In the period from June 17, 2019 to June 16, in 2020, he completed professional training in the Unified Administration Department of the Municipality of Rogoznica as a senior expert associate for physical planning and environmental protection. Then, on September 22, 2020, he signed an employment contract with the Ruđer Bošković Institute as a senior expert associate in science and higher education. He is currently working on the project Partnership between Scientists and Fishermen.

During his work he learned to use a multiparameter probe (EXO-2) to determine physicochemical parameters in a water column. It successfully uses the WASSP S3 multi-beam depth sounder to create 3D models of the seabed and the underwater drone (CHASING M2 ROV) for recording and photo documentation of the seabed. He is currently a postgraduate doctoral student at the doctoral study Adriatic-link between continents at the University of Zadar.
