Ante Šiljeg
Associate Professor
Ante Šiljeg was born in Metković on December 10, 1982. He received his primary and secondary education in Metković. In 2007 he completed his studies in history and geography at the University of Zadar. In the same year he enrolled in postgraduate studies at the Department of Geography, Faculty of Science, University of Zagreb. He defended his doctoral dissertation in June 2013. He joined the Department of Geography at the University of Zadar in June 2007.

Damir Valić
Scientific AdvisorDamir Valić was born in Split on October 9, 1976. He received his primary and secondary education in Split. At the Faculty of Science in Zagreb, University of Zagreb in the academic year 1995/1996. yr. he enrolled in the study of of Biology, which he completed in 2001. In the same year he enrolled in the postgraduate study of Molecular and Cellular Biology at the Department of Biology, Faculty of Science, University of Zagreb.

Emil Gjurčević
Associate Professor
Emil Gjurčević was born in 1974 in Zagreb. He graduated in 2004 from the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, University of Zagreb and as an assistant research fellow he is employed at the Department of Biology and Pathology of Fish and Bees. In the same year he enrolled in the postgraduate scientific study of Ichthyopathology. He was elected a full-time assistant in 2006. During his postgraduate studies, he studied at the European Union Reference Laboratory for Cancer (CEFAS, Weymouth) in the United Kingdom.

Ivan Marić
Assistant ProfessorIvan Marić was born on June 26, 1991 in Zadar (Republic of Croatia). In the academic year 2010/2011 at the University of Zadar he enrolled in an undergraduate study of applied geography, which he completed in 2013/2014. In the same year he enrolled in the graduate study. He defended his dissertation entitled Application of GIS in market analysis for the needs of shopping centers on October 14, 2015 and obtained the academic degree of Master of Geography (M.Sc. in Geography).

Krešimir Matanović
Assistant ProfessorKrešimir Matanović was born in 1977 in Zagreb. He graduated from the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine in Zagreb in 2002. He worked at the Veterinary Station Jastrebarsko, at the Department of Physiology and Radiobiology and at the Department of Microbiology and Infectious Diseases with the Clinic of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine. Since November 2015, he has been employed at the Department of Biology and Pathology of Fish and Bees at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, University of Zagreb.

Neven Cukrov
Scientific AdvisorNeven is employed as a scientific advisor at the Ruđer Bošković Institute in Zagreb. His workplace is at the Martinska marine station near Šibenik, Division for Marine and Environmental Research, and is focused on environmental protection through research biogeochemistry of metals in the aquatic environment. His research area is aquatic systems; coastal sea, estuary, underground estuary, submerged groundwater research and anchialine ecosystems, tufa forming flows and karst water.

Marin Lovrić
Master of Science in Marine Fisheries
He was born on May 4, 1991 in Šibenik, Croatia. He received his primary education in Rogoznica, and his high school education in Šibenik. At the University Study Center for Marine Studies in Split in the academic year 2010/2011. he enrolled in the Marine Fisheries course and completed it in 2016. He defended his dissertation entitled Developing an LC-MS / MS Method for Measuring Homeoic Acid in Shellfish Tissue on July 4th. 2016 (mentor: Ivana Ujević, PhD) and thus acquired the academic title of Master of Marine Fisheries Engineering.

Snježana Kužir
Full ProfessorSnježana Kužir was born on April 9, 1969 in Zagreb. She graduated in 1996 from the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, University of Zagreb. As one of the 10% of the best students, in 1997 she was elected a junior assistant researcher at the Department of Anatomy, Histology and Embryology, Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, University of Zagreb, and enrolled in postgraduate research in the same field. She obtained a master’s degree in biomedicine and health in 2002, and in 2006 a doctorate in biomedicine and health, in the field of veterinary medicine / veterinary medicine.

Tomislav Bulat
Technical Associate
He was born on February 12, 1990 in Šibenik, Croatia. He received his primary education in Šibenik, and his secondary education at the Šibenik Traffic and Technical School (maritime sailor) in Šibenik. At the Polytechnic of Šibenik in the academic year 2009/2010 he enrolled in the study of Information Management, and completed it in 2013. He defended his final thesis entitled “Budget” in 2013 (mentor: Anita Grubišić, M.Sc. in Economics) and thus acquired the academic title of Bachelor of Information Management.
